An integral part of “Living in God’s Love” is the shelter, nurture, and spiritual fellowship of the children of God. At St. Andrew, we serve in the local community and in the world through the Mission ministry team. We invite our members, friends, and the community to join us in serving our neighbors in need. We encourage everyone to roll up their sleeves, get involved personally, and make a difference in the lives of others.
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ Matthew 25:40 (NIV)
Committee on Church Cooperation
St. Andrew provides a free meal at the CCC Soup Kitchen for over 200 people four times each year. Volunteers provide, cook and serve the meals. The homemade desserts are always a hit.
St. Andrew participates in the CCC School Supply drive each fall collecting items that children need to begin the school year.
St. Andrew also contributes to the monthly food pantry collection and yearly paper product drive.
Easter Meals & Thanksgiving Meals
St. Andrew works with local community groups to provide meals for families at Easter and Thanksgiving. These are complete meals including a turkey or ham for a family.
Christmas Shoe Box Gifts
St. Andrew shares gifts with children each Christmas through the Shoe Box Gift program. Individuals, Sunday school classes, and our youth fill shoe boxes with toys, treats and personal use items for girls and boys. The brightly wrapped boxes bring joy to many in our area on Christmas morning.
Presbyterian & Global Missions
St. Andrew participates in four special offerings each year: One Great Hour of Sharing, Pentecost, Peace, and the Joy Gift offerings. These offerings help to fund local programs as well as programs in over one hundred countries including the United States. Programs range from food, medicine, agriculture, and safe water supply to disaster relief, self-improvement, crisis counseling, and many other programs. By working together, we extend our reach around the globe.
No Kid Hungry
St. Andrew youth sponsor a “No Kid Hungry” program where money is collected by our youth and used to combat hunger in children.
