An integral part of “Growing in Faith” is the reading and study of God’s Word. At St. Andrew we offer multiple opportunities for Christian education and spiritual growth for young and old alike.
Adult Sunday School
St Andrew has three adult Sunday school classes that meet at 8:45 AM. Each class chooses its own course of study. Classes have multiple teachers that rotate teaching responsibilities. Topics range from Bible study and theology to Christian living and contemporary issues. The classes and current studies are,
- Hargrave Class, Room 122: The Epic of Eden by Sandra Richter
- Hoppers Class, Library: God’s Promises That Keep Us by J. E. Kalas
- Seekers Class, Room 111: “Discipleship and Mission”
Adult Bible Study
Our Pastor teaches the majority of the Wednesday night adult Bible studies. Recent series include a “Study of Kings” and “Religions of the World.” From time to time we will have guest speakers, watch a video related to the Bible, play games, or sing hymns.
Wednesday night activities are preceded by a pot luck supper at 6:00 PM with activities starting at 6:30 PM. Nursery services are available along with children and youth activities. We invite you and your family to join us for an evening of fellowship featuring “Faith, Food, and Fun.”
Kids and Youth
We feel a strong commitment to serving children in our church family and in the community. A variety of activities and learning opportunities are provided on Sunday mornings and on Wednesday nights. Transportation may be provided, as needed.
During the summer, Vacation Bible School is held, and we also sponsor some children to attend church camps. Children are encouraged to participate in the annual Christmas play and children’s music performances.
Christian education is provided each Sunday morning from 8:45 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Sunday school at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church offers a variety of experiences to study and learn about the word of God. For children, there are classes from toddlers to high schoolers. Experienced teachers lead the classes with a variety of activities.
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth. – 3 John 1:4 (NIV)
